It has been announced earlier this week that Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film with Anushka Sharma and Imtiaz Ali will be released at the same time with Akshay Kumar’s toilet movie. Imtiaz Ali had booked the Independence Day, which is August 11, and now suddenly, it was announced that Akshay Kumar too will be releasing his film on the same date. Akshay has never really cared when his films releases because as you know, he has so many releases in a year that it doesn’t matter to him anymore. But, Akshay and Shah Rukh’s films have clashed before so it’s not the first time they will be clashing. What’s different though now is that Akshay’s movies are bigger than Shah Rukh’s movies. Since SRK’s movie was already booked for release on August 11, it’s Akshay who wants to release his film on the same day. It means that he’s not scared of Shah Rukh’s stardom. Everyone in the industry is sitting with baited breath to find out which film will move first or if both films will eventually cash on the long holiday. One director, who’s too damn happy, is Sanjay Gupta. Sanjay directed Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’, the same movie that Shah Rukh chose to clash with. Sanjay tweeted something about Karma hitting back at SRK, but obviously, he didn’t mention SRK by name, only by hints. This makes us think that ‘Kaabil’ didn’t really get to become a hit, as falsely stated by its makers. Only then it makes sense that Sanjay is mad at SRK. If his film was a huge hit, then he wouldn’t have been mad at all; he wouldn’t have even cared.
As soon as he tweeted his thoughts, Shah Rukh’s fans took after him. So much so that he had to delete his tweet. What are fans of SRK doing lurking around an old man’s Twitter? Thankfully, some websites took a screenshot of the tweet before Sanjay removed it.
