Shahid Kapoor tied the knot earlier this year to a non-filmi girl named Mira Rajput. It was late last year that Shahid Kapoor’s father decided that it was time for him to get married and arranged a meeting with Mira’s family, who follows the same religious guru as Shahid’s family. In this interview, Shahid talks about how things have changed after he got married. What he likes about Mira Kapoor and lots more. He talks about how different it was for him to be with a normal girl. He forgot the part where the girl he married is ten years younger than him. Sure, he has dated two of Bollywood’s biggest celebrities and they both got tired of his controlling ways. Another thing that hasn’t changed for Shahid after he got married is the number of selfies that he posts on Instagram. There are probably only two pictures of him and his wife up there. Actually make that three, 1 for marriage, 1 for honeymoon and 1 for Mira’s birthday.

I love the fact that I go back home to a normal person, who talks about normal things; and who sometimes tells me, “I’m not interested in what’s happening in your industry. Let’s discuss what we are doing for lunch tomorrow or where are we going.” It’s great and very healthy.

Mira and I communicate very well. That’s one of the strongest qualities about us. She makes me want to be a better person. And that shows that she is a really good person.

Alia wants to know everything about everyone. She is a curious child. She gets hyper if she doesn’t have information. We got along from the first day itself, and it shows in the film. Somehow, it didn’t feel like it’s our movie film together. She is talented, focused, and has great energy.
