After days, weeks and months of denying that there is a wedding happening, the Kapoor family finally announced last week that Sonam Kapoor is getting married to Anand Ahuja. After partying for three days, the couple officially tied the knot today in a ceremony held in a venue somewhere in Mumbai. Everything was done tastefully, even the bridal dress and the decorations. The only thing that was as dramatic as Sonam was the cake! Still adorable, though! But just imagine if it was gender-reversed and instead of basketball, it’s Bollywood? Hah!
First things first, Sonam looked very pretty as a bride.
She looks like she lost a lot of weight and it shows in the size of her head, which is a little smaller. In fact, she looks better than she did in the trailer of VDW and that epic bachelorette song. It’s nice because both Anand and Sonam look like teenagers in love, who are so happy that their parents allowed them to get married just because they are in love!
A lot of Sonam’s friends from the industry came by. Her besties Jacqueline Fernandez and Swara Bhaskar were there from the beginning and by that, we are talking about dance rehearsals. Swara had to be there because Sonam knew that if she didn’t invite her, the whole nation will face the wrath of Swara’s fury!
It was surprising that Kareena Kapoor decided to go on a vacation and missed the wedding’s celebrations. She did make it back for the wedding ceremony. Obviously, she can’t miss the wedding because it’s her producer’s wedding. Can’t help, but notice Bebola enjoys her Switzerland and London holidays. No matter what happened or who died, no one can destroy her plans to go on vacation. Reminds us of this song: Bebo main Bebo, tu shaadi karlo ya marke jao, hum vacation jayegi, chalo jii chalo!
Ok, we know it’s a bad joke! We apologise, take it with a pinch of salt.
Since Deepika Padukone is on Hollywood networking duties, she couldn’t make it to any of the wedding celebrations but that doesn’t mean that her bf/bff Ranveer Singh couldn’t make it. He was there and as soon as he landed at the wedding venue, he hopped by Anil Kapoor and proceeded to do all the friendly gestures that these two do.
Poor Ranveer! This reminds us of the time he was too poor to afford to have flower patterns on his suits! This just shows that if you work hard enough, you will go from rich to richer and finally be able to have flower patterns on your clothes and shoes. The sunglasses remind us of those patterns you have to learn in mathematics!
As soon as Anil realised that his true son came to be by his side (like Jaya Bachchan in K3G), he sent Bhavesh Joshi out to give out wedding sweets/Mithai to the media people waiting in the shade. We know for sure it’s Anil’s idea because he has shown this caring attitude before to other people around him.

Rani Mukherjee has been a family friend of the Kapoors for years. She was the one, who recommended Sonam to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Sonam started out as an assistant on the sets of ‘Black’. Rani is giving us Agga Bhai vibes – the song not some real bhai called Agga!
Someone please go and check if Aamir Khan’s house is getting water because no one should show up at a wedding looking like he’s the recipient of a homeless charity organisation.
If you look closely, Rani is thinking, “Oh Gaad, please take greasy-looking Aamir’s hands off my expensive clothes! Never mind, I will just throw them. I am a malkin now and can afford new clothes, unlike Aamir!”
The Bachchans were there, minus Jaya, Aishwarya and her little lady. Maybe it was a those-who-look-only-like-Amitabh getaway.

Karishma Kapoor was at all the wedding celebrations with her kids prior to attending the big day. She’s still our favourite Kapoor, sorry Bebola! East or west, Karishma is the best! Something Govinda used to sing at one point!

Ranveer is all over the place, I think he was in every video I clicked on lol. Is he just a happy-go-lucky human being, or because Sonam is family?
Salman is sooo different in real life, I mean physically. He looks haggard and wasted. I know a family friend who is 60 years old and looking fresher than him. I wonder how Arjun felt around him 😄? And he was sooo checking out Katrina at the entry 😆.
Ugh ! I’m already annoyed about the other (not-so) Kaif ! Why is she even invited ? I mean…why? And her attitude in front of the cameras screeeeams wannabe. I do not find her beautiful, nor charming, nor attractive…and I am sure of it, not so talented. Where are my Indian beauties that I love seeing in my screen ?

Poor KJO is trying so hard to plug them as a couple having them pose together at events and even leave together in the same car at multiple events. Although most people can see through the b.s. Ranbo and alia will have to go through the charade till flopastra releases. Somebody needs to tell him link ups are not the only way to promote a movie.

Alia posted the pic of them posing together on instagram to get even more mileage. lol..They have to try so hard to create some buzz,hype around them. No one is interested otherwise. RK looks high as a kite in every single pic of him from recent events. The mijwan show ones included.
Also Varun made it offical with Natasha at the reception. Looks like Natasha’s constant nagging finally pushed him to make it official. But girl still have to wait for the marriage to happen.
Ranbir fans and RK-DP shippers are slowly shifting to alia… some RK fans who are also DP fans now are slowly criticizing DP red carpet choices suddenly…like never before.

@leap I know the Alia-Ranbir attending together was all Kjo’s doing. He killed two birds with one stone by also making Varun to make it official with Natasha. In all the other Ranbir-Alia posts people were still talking about Varia. He killed the Varia ship now. This Kjo trying to compete with Deepveer. With the Deepveer wedding they will be the ultimate power couple. A bankable onscreen pair as well as a loved offscreen pair with high individual brand value. There marriage is gonna increase Deepveer brand value even more.
@kiran101 Deepveer is loved by the general audience. Also more than the their individual fandoms it is the shippers who ship them. There ship is huge for two people where most of their own fandoms hate the other. Alia and Ranbir will never have that. Rk fanclubs and Alia fanclubs can plug them as much they want but there is no hype, buzz or interest around them. The general audience are not talking about them. It is only the fandoms. When the Deepveer first started people were so curious about them and they were so talked about and after seeing their chemistry during Ramleela promotion people fell in love with them. Kat-Ranbir even Deepika-Ranbir (they are shipped by their shippers and fandoms only not by the general audience)

Having said that, sending Bhavesh Joshi to distribute mithai to the media waiting outside shows Anil’s sheer class and humility. Most celebs like the Bachchans and the other Kapoors just had a member of staff do this task but AK made sure his son distributes sweets himself for his sister’s wedding. My respect for AK goes up a notch higher each day.

All star kids have entitlement issues . People with some acting talent conceal them since they have to win audience. Sonam and siblings realized they have not much acting talent and they use entitlement as defense mechanism since they know they will not win audience hearts anyways …they rather come across as people with opinions and brazenness.
Among all star kids Sonam had most stable home environment with decent parents …most of her cockiness and confidence comes from her privilege of happy/rich family’s support. She chose her husband well.

I just dont get it whats this fad with guys these days of having so much facial hair. It looks odd at so much air and also makes you look so older too. See Saif, Arjun, Harshburden (nice one Monalisa) etc including the bridegroom. On other hand you see Anil all nicely shaven and looking dapper and better than these young fellas. Salman is always properly shaven most of the time which is nice.
Good looking guys don’t need a beard to cover thier face. The ones who have a beard are generally not good looking. Case in point Ranveer, Arjun , anand Abuja. Salman (don’t like him) but he is a very handsome guy.
Just want to point out about Anil’s caring attitude. YouTube has episodes of ‘live my life’ or maybe some other show where they follow a star around.
In anil Kapoors episode they are at his home from morning and when the lunch table is set up, he full asks not only the host to sit down and eat but also tells the cameraman to put down the camera and join them for lunch first!
And then there is Ajay’s episode where he is eating and doesn’t even offer once to the host😂
