Sushant Singh Rajput passes away at 34

    56

Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment in the morning today by his house help, who informed the Mumbai Police. At the time of his death, there were two of his friends and two house help who were at home with Sushant.

A couple of hours later, Mumbai Police confirmed that Sushant Singh Rajput has committed suicide. No note or message has been found yet. An investigation is going on at the moment to find out what happened.

It has been rumoured that Sushant was suffering from depression allegedly due to the financial problems he was going through and not to mention, the alienation from the industry when his career started to drop. Just last week, Sushant’s former manager took her own life during the lockdown. His friend reportedly told the police that Sushant was very disturbed when he heard of his former manager’s death.

Sushant’s sister confirmed to the cops that he was suffering from depression for over 6 months and that she was aware of his depression diagnosis.

May Sushant finally be at peace. May he rest in peace.

Sushant Singh Rajput is survived by his father and four sisters. His last Instagram post was in the memory of his late mother who passed away in 2002.

Sushant Singh Rajput’s Career on Indian Television and in Bollywood

Sushant became a recognized actor on television when he was paired opposite Ankita Lokhande in ‘Pavrita Rishta’. He made his debut in Bollywood in ‘Kai Po Che’, a film that was successful at the box office. He later got his solo big break in MS Dhoni’s biopic, ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. The film became a big hit and was Sushant’s first entry in the 100 crore club and also the biggest surprise hit of 2016. Following that, he was signed as the lead in Yash Raj’s ‘Detective Byomkesh Bakshy’ , which didn’t do too well at the box office hence hampering any chance of the film getting a sequel. His last big hit was ‘Chhichhore’, which was released last year but the film failed to do anything good for Sushant professionally. His upcoming film ‘Dil Bechara’, which was originally supposed to be released in 2019, will be released on an online streaming soon.

    Sushant Singh Rajput’s Personal Life

Sushant was in a long-term relationship with his co-star Ankita Lokhande for almost six years. After breaking up with Ankita, Sushant was rumoured to be romantically involved with his co-star of ‘Raabta’, Kriti Sanon. As of late 2019, Sushant was reportedly dating Rhea Chakraborty.

    A Message From Sushant’s Team:

It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.

    1. From what I have seen SSR is introverted, sensitive, thin skinned and too intellectual for the dumb bollywood people. He did not know how to network or fake his way in to people’s good books. Sad that post Dhoni he let success get in to his head that made him come across is arrogant. He was trying to find permenant friends and seek validation from the elitist Kjo gang. Kartik Aryan and Ayushman are having the career plus personal equation with Kjo and other head honchos of Bollywoood Sushant wanted. They are outsiders like him who were also ignored by the elite Kjo gang for a long time before they made it big

    2. Admin, I applaud you for the way you are handling this news in a rational and reasonable way. I know for someone who know the truth about Kjo and nepo gang it is easier for you to join the bashing of these people and paint Sushant as a saint.

Everyone who reads BW gossip like us know Kjo and his nepo gang are elitists, snobs who likes to bring down outsiders and people they hate by maligning them. Nepotism, cronyism, favouritism, smear campaigns exists and I want deny SSR may have faced this. But even if someone had an agenda to tarnish SSR’s reputation with all the he is arrogant, misbehaves with costars and unprofessional blinds this will only have a negative effect on someone’s career if some/all is true. Industry people do talk and they have ways to see if the rumours are true. Producers or directors can call up people who worked on the previous projects to fact check if the rumours are true if they find out it is indeed true they maybe hesitant to give work. Look at Kangana, she has it worse than SSR when it comes to rumours and negative blind items. She is called arrogant, unprofessional, liar, who throw tantrums at her co-stars, directors, producers, staff. She is openly calling out people who were ganging up on her and spearheading the smear campaign against her. Despite the smear campaign via blinds she is able to get well paying work and endorsements. Despite all the negativity Kjo and his cronies are not able to stop her getting work from other production houses, he is only able to stop her working with his and his frlends’s companies. After seeing how KanganaΒ is thriving despite KjoΒ and friends smear campaign hard to believe everyone in Bollywood are puppets of KjoΒ or Adi Chopra or Salman Khan. They do have power but the power is limited to their own people. He was not getting work with other producers (who work with the shunned Kangana) like Zee Studios or RSVP, Balaji, Anand L Rai, Phantom, Fox Star. Producers like Fox Star, Dinesh and RSVP are known to work with outsiders and repeat actors in movies. Kriti Sanon got 2 films with Dinesh post Raabta, after big hit Uri RSVP is producing a big budget film with Vicky and director of Uri. Sushant never worked them after Raabta and Kedarnath respectively. Also he had a powerful casting agent and poweful publicist as his close friends…

    3. @Admin, i cant contest that, you should be on SSR’s PR payroll…but thanks for replying to all of us..

    4. Admin, Is it true those six big production houses had banned SSR, like KRK had tweeted in Feb 2020?

        1. Admin I have been reading up a bit. AC did do dirty to Sushant.Dharma & YRF didn’t want to work with him. The others never seem to have refused work to him because of these 2. AD and AK also are successful without these 2. AK recently started working with Dharma. Then why was Sushant not getting good work after Chichore?? Was his behaviour that problematic?? AK and AD are no saints.

          1. He was getting offers, he refused them. All these filmmakers coming out and saying now that they were going to work together. The problem was, he was looking for big film because the big films that he was supposed to do in the past like Paani and Chanda Mama never materialised. Then like we mentioned before, he put in front of filmmakers a list of what he wanted which including working with his GF and a higher fee. We thought it was strange that he would do something like that since he never put up that condition when he was dating others. It’s like RKR putting up the same condition after Stree. We thought maybe Rhea sought his help since he is the bigger star or he genuinely loved her and wanted her to succeed. Being hit with depression is a malgamation of a lot of things and in more cases, being super smart has a lot to do with it.

            1. @Admin, was he helping Rhea? Or was Rhea dictating terms in this relationship? It seems she left him when he was really in a dark whole, i still feel she could have got him to the hospital or told the doc about what he was going through..

I agree about being too smart can push u into depression. I feel SSR was someone who was trying to reconcile the nerd and the cool creative guy all in one.. and he wasnt able to handle it…its obvious this guy was damn good academically, dancing, acting, looks..science…but somewhere it may have all started when Bollywood dint acknowledge him and impeded his journey to success.

Was physical abuse the reason Kriti and SSR broke up?She still seems to heart him…..which makes me wonder if that story was fabricated

              1. Only Rhea can answer that. But honestly, it’s quite normal for new couples to want to work together. Kareena did it with Shahid, Bipasha with John and who else? Salman with Katrina…It’s only after a series of flops that they realize this doesn’t work and proceed to welcome other pairings. From what we heard, KS knew something was amiss which is why she kind of blames herself for not doing anything about it.

            2. one more thing to remember is AK is married to Ms Funny Bones who is KJo’s childhood bestie and AD to KJo’s lucky charm, KJo and gang would not actively do anything to sabotage AD and AK’s career. But SSR was treated like a leftover due to his family background, even if he was not from filmy world but had super rich parents things would have been different – remember Sachin Joshi (Gutka King ka beta) big stars would come to promote his movies.

      1. The anger towards KJo and ilk is justified but people are calling him out saying that they were mocking him on KwK but that is not the biggest issue out there. They should be called out for that but people also need to call out systematic processes. A journalist is saying that he only had access to Sara during Kedarnath promotions and a solo interview of Sushant was denied by the production house. It was either a combined interview or solo Sara interview. There are pay scale issues, talent management issues, movies being snatched at the last minute, casting couch, negative publicity via blinds etc. And these are only the stuff we know about. Imagine what else is going on. All of us work with idiotic colleagues who pass snide remarks but we don’t have to face the other issues. Hope someone looks at fixing these issues.

      2. A truly brilliant actor is gone. He had so much potential as an actor. This is really so so sad. Outsiders have to face so much. For an outsider to survive in Bollywood it is actually a survival of the emotionally strongest and someone who can play the manipulation game to the T. Sadly SSR was not equipped with either. He always came across as very sensitive to criticism and neither was he any good with campism or manipulative tactics. On top of everything he had a really good opinion about himself which was oftentimes not shared by his peers. Plus he was always portrayed in the media as some kind of a lecherous character who was perenially chasing women only to get rejected. Now how far thats true or untrue I don’t know but I do believe that breaking up with Ankita started his downward spiral. All his issues started cropping up in 2016 after the breakup. She was probably the only one who cared for him. In this mayhem of Bollywood to survive you do need that one person who has your back irrespective of anything. And for Sushant that support system wasn’t there any more. God bless his soul. RIP SSR. You will be missed.

        1. He did really change after leaving Ankita. But you know what? This is usually the case, right? Suddenly you enter a life that gives you access to things you never had, tried or done before. Life changes and you never become the same again!

          1. I agree Admin that that kind of success does change people, but then not in the way it changed Sushant. I mean instead of going out and shouting from rooftops about his success, or signing more films which is what usually happens (read Ranveer Singh, SRK etc) Sushant went more and more into a shell, till it happened that the only times we got to hear about him was in lewd blind items given details of him as harassing his female colleagues or beating up his gf or running after women or throwing crazy parties at his place.

            1. It changes them on the inside, not in a way that you can see. It’s because that success and fame open the door to a lot more things they never had access to. Once you reach that level, it’s a different life. AK and RKR are settled with their partners so you don’t get these kinds of blind items about them. Speaking of which, yesterday SSR’s property manager confirmed his neighbours complained about his partying which is why he was looking to move to a new place with his GF. So that’s not a made-up story at all because the same thing happened at his previous residence.

              1. You know what Admin, I somehow feel SSR went a bit arrogant after Dhoni’s super success… And probably that’s when he started ruffling people the wrong way. I recall reading an interview of his around that time where he openly said had Befikre been offered to him he would have never done it as it was below his standard. Then he also said something like Kriti and other women are attracted to him for his huge success. And then there were multiple blinds about him partying in his birthday suit and his obsession with the moon or something like that.. I remember all these because I thought it was kind of weird if he was actually doing all that because his personality in interviews and on screen seemed so rooted and mature. Then I stopped hearing about him till it seemed he was flirting with other women at parties while dating Kriti and these women were pissed off as they didn’t like his touchy feeliness etc etc Then he apparently abused Kriti physically and they broke up. Next he was hitting on the Sanghi girl and her parents got some security or something to protect her from SSR’s advances which apparently was not stopping. So the Kizzie Many movie kept getting delayed. Immediately then he was pictured with Rhea person and it was said he found his soulmate. Then he was drunk dialling Kriti but she was not taking his calls. But Rhea was taking all Sushant’s calls on his behalf and controlling his life. Finally neighbours complained coz of his friends wild parties at his place and then few days later SSR commits suicide. I have just snapped the last three years of Sushant’s life as per blinds. The partying part seems to be true. Was any of the other stories also true Admin?

                1. Well, that’s why we said he thought the grass was greener on the other side. Everyone comes to Mumbai wanting to be the next SRK. They see the fame, the money, the big movies, and the big mansion. They forget SRK slogged for years to reach where that stage. Most importantly, he and Aamir were married so their life was settled in certain aspects, they had a family to come home to.

You are on point there with your points. That’s why we mentioned it changes them on the inside, they are after all actors and they act. We always thought the reason why Rhea stuck so close to him was because he was restless in some ways. She knew how he was, everyone knew in the industry. That’s how he misread the room with that new girl. That’s why production had to send someone especially to monitor things. This wasn’t made-up, it did really happen. People would say the BI about his partying wasn’t true but then that’s exactly what happened. It’s just they thought they knew him based on his interviews and all, but this is never the case with actors.

                2. @Admin, it is kinda hard to believe that he sexually harassed the girl..but can you elaborate on the ‘misread the room with the new girl’

She was pretty silent on the whole thing for the longest time…and now shes released a video sobbing for him.. everything about SSR is grey…

Heard he swings both ways….or is that also a fabricated blind? Have seen his comfort level with Chabbra and also with a some pune based builder which is how he got into TV…

                  1. Star kids know what to expect on the sets of films. There were rumours SAK and SSR got together during Kedarnath then when he jumped on MC’s film, there was the new girl who is a complete outsider. Meaning she is not used to how the industry worked and SSR behaved as usual which took the girl by surprise.

Nothing can be surprising anymore about an actor’s sexuality! Just saying.

P.S. We feel like we have now become customer service people! 😜

          2. Anyone else in her shoes would have gone the sushant way…i admire her so much for her grit, guts and determination to fight back…with no support

          3. and its also funny that they hire journos like Faridoon, actresses like Yami, etc to malign her. I recently came across a post from a mediocre Tv actress saying how much of patience Hrithik had to stand by Kanganas bullying….

          4. I saw that video….she is calling them out for the paid journo blind items as well….the more I see all this, the more I agree with Admin akka that there is a witchhunt on outsiders

          5. @Admin: i have mostly been on team kangana,. i even commented to kjo on his post to stop his smug attitude towards outsiders and making them a victim of depression.. i am not saying that was the only cause of depression..but i am sure the way these ppl rank outsiders in KWK and mock them for their english etc can damage people ..they anyway feel so vulnerable and insecure with no one to look out for them and then be sidelined on national television as if their efforts and talent doesnt even matter!

            1. KJo does encourage this childish behaviour of gossiping and making fun of others. Sadly, it’s not just the outsiders they talk about, it’s themselves also. They are so pathetic and desperate that they behave like this and they see nothing wrong with it. Remember when Jiah Khan passed? That girl was so talented but never got the right opportunities without having to fight vultures looking to take advantage of her. She worked with some big actors, producers, and directors but only Deepika made that effort to go to her funeral.

                1. KR is very very strong. These people tried everything to make her leave Bollywood but failed to do so. It’s amazing how she fights back every time but just imagine how much she had to go through. It’s funny how much they were scared of her that they had agendas and campaigns to oust her out and still, she is here getting projects on her own merit! It’s also a very good thing that she has her family by her side who supports her despite their past differences.

          6. thanks Admin…you mean the real motives being control and power.

Was Yash Chopra the same or did it all start with Adi?

I remember watching an interview with Shraddha Kapoor where she says Adi might not work with her again.

Also KR was open about Adi being pissed because she declined Sultan

            1. Yes, YC was also like that but he was a bit nicer than AC. AC is so arrogant that anyone who rejects his offer, he slams them down as if he’s the biggest deal ever! You can clearly see the state of YRF once he took over to reign even while his father was alive. He didn’t even help his own immediate family members, Ravi Chopra who was going through a bad financial problem then so just imagine why would those insiders help others? They only help themselves!

          7. Admin: is Aditya chopra a bully like Kjo.

btw: another rant on KJO maush: how he claims he was bullied by kids for the fact that he was different and look what he is doing now…I just hate KJO maushi

            1. AC is the worst! Where do you think KJo gets his meanness and privilege from? AC thinks he is a God who has the right to tell you what you are, what you look like and all that. He himself is too scared to come in front of the media but he feels like he has the right to tell young girls and young boys that they look like crap! The sad part is, the reason why he is able to operate like that is because these people DO give him the importance! From Anu to Ranveer to Bhumi, they all give him that much importance that you would think the man cured cancer! It’s why Ranveer randomly mentioning that Adi is his mentor. Signing up a T-Series or YRF contact is literally like signing up with the devil! Obviously, outsiders are honoured of being in a YRF project that they fail to see the company’s real motives!

          8. very true…I agree with Admin and nefarious..the power is in our hands…I know a few people who watched SOTY2 for cheap thrills…I would tell then why wouldnt they watch a Tumbadd or Judgmental Hai Kya or Trapped or Panga for that matter.
its not only about cheering for a rebel like Kangana or Sushi after watching their interviews and booking a show for Salman Khan’s next release…remember, the power is with us.

Admin: thanks again for your unbiased opinions.

          9. @Admin, at this point it would be illegal, and immoral to not call out the power of bollywood for arm twisting, sidelining and mocking rising stars who are outsiders.. its like a high school bully club…after all the compromises outsiders make, they have to deal with coteries and clubs…

I wont absolve kjo and aditya for this…

            1. Isn’t this what KR has been doing for over two years now? She has been fighting this alone and yet people still call her unstable and whatnot. KJo, AC and all of the rest, this is the way they have lived all their lives. To change them now is not going to work because they think this is their right and their priviledge. But you as an audience, you do have the power to change that!

          10. BW has become more HW ,unfortunalty ,adopting all the wrong things . The older artists personal lives were not shown so openly ,there was a sense of respect ,a Indian culture was clearly maintained ! Now,every one try to be more showy with their cars, houses ,designers clothes some people wonder where they are getting money from, affects the new comers ,they wants all the shiny objects ,until the reality sets in! BW is a tough place ,you are as good as your last film, so, all the new comers should come with plan a,b,c , otherwise, depression comes in easily ,when there is no new prospect ? RIP !

          11. Hi Admin

I know blaming another person for SSR ‘s misery may be legally incorrect. But I cannot help point finger towards that nepo king . I was wondering what gives him so much power. Looks like you are from the media. Is it not possible to expose Kebab jo and his chamchas? He did not kill SSR but his tactics surely did. Why is nobody calling him out? I wish someone could expose him . And that leech has a PADMA SHRI. What a disgrace?

            1. Hey there! Yes, you are right! It is legally incorrect and also morally wrong to blame him. If he and his gang are like that, it doesn’t mean we too have to behave the same way. Technically, he didn’t do anything wrong other than being matlabi to outsiders once their films work at the BO and being mean to them once their films flop!

He welcomes them to his small circle like he did to SSR and is doing to KA. He and his gang watch these outsiders lose their mind in the company of the people they have admired and seen only on the big screen. Then the mafia gang laughs at these outsiders by leaking how they truly behave in private.

Such as, SSR was so drunk at a party that he hugged ARB hence making her uncomfortable with his behaviour or KA shamelessly chasing KJo to sign him on to replace VD. These are all things that should have remained private but have managed to find their way to BI. This is how they lure them in and destroy their reputation.

It is no new behaviour to the mafia gang since their own industry bigwigs are like that or even worst! Outsiders should smarten up and not fall into this trap. See the examples of what happened to Kangana and how she was humiliated with a smear campaign against her. Now maybe her sister’s outburst on social media against the mafia king and his minions doesn’t sound so crazy after all.

So no, we can’t blame him for SSR taking his own life. There’s a lot more to this than what you see. We have always said, as an audience, you have the power to decide the future of Bollywood so keep this in mind when supporting anything the mafia gang does! Besides KebabJo himself is insecure which is why he surrounds himself with only those who matter in Bollywood!

              1. admin that line ” as an audience, you have the power to decide” My god there is so much meaning there, love what you have said. so so true.

          12. Sushant was on his way to become the next mega superstar. Kjo and his minions came on sushant’s way to end his journey. Kjo and his minions must remember that divine power is very well aware of who is doing what kind of deeds. They’re are already getting their karma through failed movies. This will continue in 2020 and 2021.

I truly hope that sushant’s soul finds peace and outsiders rise strongly in Bollywood.

          13. Happy now KJo? Another ‘outsider’ ousted. The way is clear for your brigade. Hope you are feeling guilty of your actions and not thinking about who will replace SSR in the movies he was featuring in. In your own words ‘nepotism rocks’.

          14. This one tore me apart…..truly and deeply!!!
            Still try to fathom……
            Just dunno what to say!
            RIP

          15. 2020 took another
            And my heart truly hurts
I used to watch him in Pavitra Rishta
            In English subtitles
Because I speak a different language.
When he started acting in bollywood
It was clear to see that he was an amazing actor
            Charismatic in dhoni
Kai po che made me a believer
Desi romance, I almost forgot I was watching a movie. Just like in PK he was effortless
Even in movies that didn’t have the so called mighty box office effect, he still made a mark on your heart.
I remember checking out his social media after all those blinds started going around
Highly intelligent, you could even tell from his social media
A heart shaped peg that found himself in a boxed simulation where loneliness and the camera flashes are a package deal
Too young, too talented, too sad
In this silence, I can still hear your voice
Passing through my ears. To my heart as I watch you in Qafirana
            May peace be yours
            May peace be yours
May peace be you in death
Forgive them all, your light will burn forever
            #SushantSinghRajput

          16. Congratulations Bollywood stars….successfully ejected one guy . The truly depressed never had a voice in Bollywood and media. Only actors faking depression and making money using the ailment, brand endorsements , becoming fake activists actually drove people like Sushant to death.

Kjo and gang need to find another scapegoat/fall guy for their vicious blinds. Bravo! they did it . This is Bollywood for you, the real Bollywood.

These bloody assholes lecture public on humanity, politics and secularism are underworld pawns, harrass powerless women and men sexually/emotionally/financially.

These stars who have no morals themselves, who topple and derail fellow men/women for measly roles lecture public on how to be and how to deal with things.

Shame on you fake Bollywood activists … Gullible public… never let another star actor fool you with their fake Depression stories. Shame on you Bollywood bigwigs and Bollywood media . Sushant’s blood is on your hands!

            1. He thought the grass was greener on the other side. He left the only support and love he had. Saying that he should have stayed with her does not really matter now, does it? But yes, it would have kept him stable and saved him from entering a forest filled with wolves unprotected!

              1. if it worked he would have seen greener pastures like Ranveer did. Did he not break up with Anushka to be with bigger star Deepika ?

Ofcourse sushanth a middle class guy vs Ranveer from rich family …the support system is incomparable.

SSR did make many mistakes, a lot of non nepo kids do… we cannot blame him for trying hard…trying everything…nor did he deserve death for it.

Ankita could not have saved him from this fate if SSR was broken inside. Robin williams and anthony bourdain did have families and child/children who they loved immensely and a reason to live for … paterntal love is stronger than romantic love …yet they committed suicide.

What bollywood did to him was vicious , they ganged up to isolate and humiliate him. They expected him to withstand all of it … but he could not … i am sure they are atleast a bit nervous since public know and calling out on what they did.

                1. That might be true about him being broken inside part. But he really was happy with her then, again who knows what could have happened if they stayed together. As for RS, it’s not really the same thing since Anu and he got together after BBB but yes, can’t help but wonder how the mafia would have tossed him aside if he didn’t become the success that he is today! He too faced their wrath and hate when his films weren’t doing well.

When people are sad or depressed, they find someone or something that takes away that sadness but the thing is, that relief doesn’t really last long. The sadness and depression come back to haunt them at other times. This is why it’s important to seek help and repair that broken feeling inside. It does get better, even though it takes time.

            2. how do you know who is faking & who is actually depressed? Are you playing God or what? you are doing same which you are pretending to criticize …… if the person is dead he actually had depression but if not dead he or she is faking it in other words mocking & stigmatizing that person wow ….. & here its obvious you are talking about deepika & her foundation because you are talking about activism ……… i dont know why people act so touched & start giving lectures while mocking other person with same issues when one dies trying to act like taking moral high ground but degrading other & if God forbid that other person commits something like that same people then mock another one without realizing the real issue

          17. I guess Bollywood successfully ejected one guy .

          18. Worst is that nepotism king. He was one of the biggest reasons ssr din have many frnds in the industry…

          19. Very sad. May his soul Rest In Peace. Depression should not be neglected. Nothing wrong in talking to close ones if anyone is feeling depressed, there are ways and treatments to come out of it. Fame and money are not The only important things in life we all should understand this.
