Since the response received on this post regarding the Kapoor family has been amazing, I decided to elaborate further on this family for everyone who enjoyed this post. You will get to know Raj Kapoor, his brothers Shashi and Shammi, his sons Rishi, Randhir and Rajiv and all of his now famous grandchildren Karishma, Kareena and Ranbir. Raj Kapoor was married to Krishna Kapoor and together they have four sons Rishi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor. The most popular one is definitely Rishi Kapoor. Even at his age today, he rocks in every single film he is in. Today, his son Ranbir Kapoor is an up and coming superstar. Randhir Kapoor has two daughter who are both superstars, Kareena Kapoor and Karishma Kapoor.
The late Raj Kapoor was married to Krishna Malhotra. They were married for fifty years before Raj Kapoor passed away. Though they were married this long, there have been times when Krishna just had enough with Raj Kapoor’s behaviour and left their house. But now, she is known to be the rock solid Kapoor mother who is in charge of everything in the house.
First off is Randhir Kapoor. Randhir is married to actress Babita and they have two daughters together. Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor are both actresses as well. Upon tying the knot, Babita left the film industry to play the doting wife and mother at home.
Unfortunately for her, her husband Randhir’s career didn’t take off as expected. Randhir didn’t take it well, he started drinking and soon after Babita took her two daughters with her and left him.
The ladies in the Kapoor family don’t join the film industry and Karishma changed all that by being the first Kapoor blood lady to start acting and that too at the age of 16! Karishma on her own supported her mother and sister financially by acting in films, as her own father didn’t really support them at that time.
Time has passed and Kareena too joined the film industry. Today, Karishma is married and has two kids. Kareena too is set to tie the knot to Saif Ali Khan, a Bollywood actor. As for Babita and Randhir, they too have worked out their differences and decided to get together for the sake of their kids.
Rishi Kapoor married his co-star of many films, Neetu Singh. They have two children together, a boy and a girl. They have been married for many years now and have weathered together hard times. This was mostly due to Rishi’s uncontrollable behaviour when he was drunk. Rumour has it that he used to physically abuse his wife when he was drunk.
Ranbir Kapoor decided to follow the footsteps of his father too and entered the film industry. His sister Riddhima decided to study something else and obviously, she didn’t end up in the film industry. Riddhima is married and has a daughter. Ranbir is still roaming around testing different girls in Bollywood (true story!). Ranbir is quite close to his mother and is supposed to be a momma’s boy. Neetu has said that Ranbir has been a huge pillar of support in her life when she was going through hard times with her husband Rishi. Sadly though, Ranbir can never match to his father’s chocolate looks and great acting skills. Sure, Ranbir can act, but he tries really hard and it shows.
This is a picture of the whole Kapoor family. My favourite Kapoor has always been Shammi Kapoor. Shammi Kapoor only has one son. After his first wife died, Shammi Kapoor got married again after a couple of years.
Shashi Kapoor married a British woman, who passed away to cancer when she was in her forties. They have three children together, all of which look a lot like British people. After his wife passed away, Shashi Kapoor never remarried again.
