Trailer: The Big Bull – Abhishek Bachchan, Ileana D’Cruz, Nikita Dutta & Sohum Shah

The trailer of ‘The Big Bull’, directed by Kookie Gulati and co-produced by Ajay Devgn has finally released. The film, based on the life of Harshad Mehta, was supposed to be released in 2020 but as you know, Covid-19 happened and everything had to be postponed. Though, during that time, an OTT show on Harshad Mehta titled ‘Scam 1992 – The Harshad Mehta Story’ released on SonyLIV and became an instant success.

So now, in everyone’s eyes (those who watched ‘Scam 1992’), there are going to be comparisons since ‘Scam 1992’ truly raised the bar high, particularly Pratik Gandhi who played Harshad Mehta on the show. Obviously, Abhishek’s performance will be compared to Pratik, though a film is not the same as an OTT show that gives you the time understand and get close to the characters.

Check out the trailer of ‘The Big Bull’:

Abhishek Bachchan, who goes by Abhishek A Bachchan now, appears to be in ‘Guru’ mode in this film. It’s funny because in ‘Ludo’, AB Jr. was like Lallan from ‘Yuva’. In this one, he definitely plays Harshad different from Pratik’s version. He put on weight for the film and tried to look older. Ileana plays the journalist in this one while Nikita plays Abhi’s love interest.

‘The Big Bull’ was originally meant to release in October 2020. The film was announced amidst much fanfare as it was considered a big deal for Abhi who nabbed this film after making his comeback in ‘Manmarziyaan’. The makers of the film wanted to release this one in theaters but opted for an OTT-release instead.

Both ‘Scam 1992’ and ‘The Big Bull’ started shooting around the same time, but the success of ‘Scam 1992’ was something that no one saw coming. The show had newcomers and unknown actors as its main cast so no one could have thought this would have a bigger impact than a film with stars in it.

‘The Big Bull’ will be released on April 8 on Disney+ Hotstar. The film also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Nikita Dutta, Sumit Vats, Ram Kapoor, Sohum Shah and Lekha Prajapati.
