Trailer: The Girl On The Train – Parineeti Chopra, Aditi Rao Hydari, Avinash Tiwary & Kirti Kulhari

Parineeti Chopra’s long awaited film, ‘The Girl On The Train’, is finally ready to be released! The teaser released two weeks ago and the trailer is now here.

‘The Girl On The Train’ is the official Hindi/Bollywood adaptation of Paula Hawkins’ bestselling book . Hollywood already created its own version with Emily Blunt as the lead actress. The Bollywood adaption is more or less the same. What’s strange, though, they shot it overseas in the UK instead of India.

Check out the trailer of The Girl On The Train:

As per the director, they didn’t follow the Hollywood-version but the book itself. We didn’t read the book so we cannot compare but we did watch the Hollywood-version with a ‘Gone Girl’ comparison in mind. It was a bit boring, to be honest. It’s just bland thriller, nothing that kept us on the edge of our seats. But it is a dark film in which the lead character goes through all these dark emotions and situations throughout the film. There are very few happy scenes, especially with the lead character. It’s basically a story about how unhappy and depressed this person is and you find out why she became like that.

If you have neither read the book nor watched the Hollywood-version, better stay away and watch Pari’s film instead. This is a very important film for Pari, one of the young stars to be featured as the only lead in a Bollywood film. No points for guessing, Pari is a talented actress so expect a good performance here.

The Girl On The Train was an entirely different experience for me as I have never played this kind of a role before. Getting into the character of Meera Kapoor and working closely with Ribhu to bring her to life was an immense learning experience for me. As an actor, I have always wanted to challenge myself with more, and this role gave me the opportunity to do so. The Girl On The Train will take the audiences on a dark journey trying to piece together the reality of who actually committed the crime and have them guessing the truth. – Parineeti Chopra

The teaser of The Girl On The Train:

It’s funny but when we watched the teaser of the film when it released, Pari reminded us so much of Rani Mukerji! It’s like there were glimpses of Rani in Pari’s performance. We see the same with Bhumi Pednekar. It’s a coincidence that both are from Yash Raj Talent and the malkin is none other than Rani! Weird coincidence, but is she conducting acting classes for their young heroines?

Famous actress, Aditi Rao Hydari, is also in this film. She is most likely playing the girlfriend or second wife of Avinash Tiwari. We are calling her famous actress because this lady worked hard to become recognized in Bollywood, but ended up becoming popular in the South Indian Film industries, especially the Malayalam and Tamil film industries.

Avinash Tiwari was last seen in ‘Bulbul’ and this will be his second OTT release. The actor, who bears a slight resemblance to Ranveer Singh, is playing a character that is hard to like.

As for Kriti Kulhari, she is on a roll! So many good chances and performances from her, all thanks to online streaming platforms.

‘The Girl On The Train’ will be available on Netflix on February 26. Catch it, if you are interested.

Hopefully, PC didi and jiju will promote this and increase the hype, for Pari’s sake.

    1. Pari’s performance is a hard hitting reply to kjo’s obsession with star kids. The trailer screams that outsiders do have talent.
