Vidya Balan has always spoken her mind when it came to any issue in Bollywood. She is not afraid to speak up for what she believes in, compared to other actresses, who prefer to remain diplomatic so as not to offend anyone. Vidya is currently working on ‘Kahaani 2’ and we are eagerly waiting for the trailer. She has also done a Bengali film, whose trailer was out sometime last month. Vidya was the most happening actress for almost 3 years in a row when her films, ‘Kahaani’, ‘The Dirty Picture’, ‘No One Killed Jessica’ and ‘Ishqiya’, were huge hits at the box office. Somehow since then, Vidya has been unable to get back on track, as all of her films are doing well at the box office. But one thing about Vidya is that she is not bitter despite her films not doing well. She didn’t shy away from praising the performance of many female actresses and in this interview too, she did the same thing. Here’s Vidya talking about a bunch of interesting things.
Vidya Balan Interview
Vidya Balan on the urgency to have equal pay in Bollywood among other things

The good roles for actress in Bollywood
The pain and suffering were the definitive characteristics of the women.”
Vidya refers to Deepika Padukone’s role in ‘Piku’
She just decided that she didn’t want to be married. So what if the only man in her life, who she focused all her energies on, had passed on? That didn’t mean that she will hold on to the next man she saw. I think the grammar, the idiom, is changing.
