Less than a week after its release, ‘I’ has already entered the famed 100-crore club. Directed by Shankar, ‘I’ has South Superstar Vikram in a role that goes into transformation four times in the course of the film. It also stars Amy Jackson, Upen Patel and Suresh Gopi. In just three days, ‘I’ collected more than 55 crore at the box office in India. It broke the first day earnings record in South India as well. Shankar’s ‘I’ has also broken other records. The first weekend of ‘I’s release, the film went straight to number one in many countries, aside from several parts of India. ‘I’ also entered the top 20 in the top grossing films in the USA in the first week’s earning categories. By the looks of it, ‘I’ will definitely go on to be the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema knocking down the current blockbuster ‘PK’.
