This interview was in 2005…It’s a really long interview, the sound isn’t so good and there are no English subtitles so you have to listen properly to understand what the interviewer is asking Vivek.
So, this interview was at a time when Vivek was seeing Aishwarya. If you remembered, he would proudly say that she is his girlfriend while she maintained that he is a friend who has been there for her.
In this interview, the interviewer Prabhu Chawla tried to make it controversial. He was asking questions in a way to trigger Vivek but the boy kept his cool despite being visibly irritated.
Then at around 10 minutes in, the man asked him about his “distraction”. Vivek responded by saying, “It wasn’t distraction but attraction.” He does on to praise Aishwarya and how lucky she has been for him since she came in his life. Most people think Vivek’s career went dunzo after the press conference but here he is, some time after the press conference, saying that he is having the best time ever professionally!

This is Vivek’s response when he was asked about Aish:
She has been very lucky for me. If a girl understands you and your profession it brings stability in your life. People speculated that my relationship with Aishwarya would not last. But it has been on for two-and-a-half years and is going strong.
Before Aish, Vivek was engaged to Gurpeet who he dated for years before popping the question. This is why he said the above-bold part since Gurpeet came out and said she had no idea this profession would change Vivek.
At that time, as seen in this interview, Vivek was confident he was going to marry Aish. He even invited the interviewer to his wedding! He also let out that they have been together for more than 2 years.
And just by saying that, Vivek got in trouble with Aish because that was quote of his was used to promote the interview. Soon after, this came out:
A close friend of the couple said: “It isn’t really Vivek’s fault. He never wanted to speak about Ash during the interview. He was forced into doing so because he was repeatedly asked provocative questions about Ash.
He never said he’s marrying her right now or even in the near future. When he was asked if he would marry her, he naturally said yes. Which man of integrity wouldn’t want to marry the woman he loves?
Vivek doesn’t like keeping quiet when aspersions are cast on people he loves. He thinks it isn’t the honourable thing to do. And he’s ready to face the consequences.
After this interview, a couple of months afters, rumors started going around that Aish was dating Abhi. They were shooting for ‘Umrao Jaan’ at that time. When Vivek was asked about the rumors, he said it was impossible since AB Jr. is like a brother to him. He went on to talk about how Abhishek took care of him when he got injured on the sets of ‘Yuva’.
Well, after their breakup, Vivek started realizing how he went wrong with the press conference. He apologized publicly to Salman and went on Farah’s show to slam Aish by calling her plastic and hinting that she pushed him to do that press conference. Suddenly, it went from “she is lucky for me” to this:
Seeing all that and thinking about it now, would Vivek have felt the same way if he did end up being with Aish? Would he have realized his mistake and take responsibility instead of saying he was forced to take that step? Would he?
It’s weird…or it can just be pure coincidence that Abhishek also got his two biggest hits while he was dating Aish, ‘Dhoom 2’ and ‘Guru’.

Also, I doubt Vivek would have been able to handle a woman as popular and successful as Aish considering how his career had flopped. Abhishek is able to cope possibly because he’s used to having a more successful family member i.e. his father, and also because he has other profitable investments and better chances of getting film offers compared to Vivek. He has good relationships with Ajay, SRK and Karan who are producers and can still offer him films. Vivek seems to have being boycotted by top film producers though.
I think Aish used him and dumped him for Abhishek who belonged to a family that who would protect her in Bollywood and also give her more financial leverage. Aish may be rich but her money is peanuts compared to what the Bachchans are worth. She definitely gained more respect being a Bachchan than she would have gotten if she had married Vivek.
If you are seeing someone , it’s very disrespectful to never acknowledge that person’s presence in your life . Almost as though that person is not good enough for u . I mean , u don’t have to wax eloquent about it , but don’t act like the person is of no account to u. Vivek always seemed more into Ash than she was into him.
Why are they supporting Netanyahu? And we all know, as if Aish would have married Vivek if he was a flop actor. NOPE!! She’s also $$$$
