This is a question that we want answered. Why are these celebrities friends with Amar Singh? Does he have something special? Like, special power or something? Last we checked, old man was just a simple politician, who was once jailed! So why are these celebrities close to him? What advantage do they get in return? We are asking why them instead of why him because he’s pretty much one of those, who enjoy the company of celebrities in the spotlight instead of his own family!
This is what Amar Singh used to be before his arrest:
Amar Singh is a very resourceful man and by that I not just mean monetarily, which obviously stands true. But even his relationship with the media which he handles so well, as well as his political understanding—all have helped Singh reach where he is today.
Before his arrest, his best friends were Anil Ambani and Amitabh Bachchan. He was the one, who got Jaya Bhaduri in parliament on the request of Amitabh Bachchan. If you remember, those days he was very close to the Bachchan. He was their Kebab Mein Haddi. Everywhere they went, he was there. Everywhere, as in the Cannes Film Festival or the Pink Panther movie premieres. Did he ask to come or did they invite him?
The reason why we are asking is because the minute something happens, he’s in front of the media spilling everything. He did the same when he recovered from the Bachchans breakup with him. When he was asked a question, he randomly brings up the Bachchans and Ambanis in the conversation. It’s almost like a man, who realised he was used. We don’t want to say bitter, but he sounded really disappointed with the way the Bachchans treated him.

When the Bachchans and Ambanis broke up with him, he vowed never to put his celeb friends before his own family. It seems he has still been doing that the minute he makes friends with Bollywood celebrities. More than friendships, celebrities value their privacy more than anything else. But Amar Singh doesn’t give a crap about that, he’s the first one to dial the media if something happens to his celeb friends. It’s almost as if he has the media on speed dial. Take the case of Sridevi, for example. He has been hobnobbing with her family for more than a year now. What’s the deal with that? He even accompanied them to concerts. Is it because he is the one who got them the tickets?
It’s understandable that he is now trying to protect his celeb friends, in Sridevi’s case, but he’s also going to the extend of lying to the media on the whole situation. How can he claim that Boney left with him to Delhi to attend a summit when everyone saw that he was at Mumbai airport with his daughter, which means that Boney returned to Mumbai and then went back to Dubai. He was photographed at the dinner party of Manmohan Shetty. But, Amar Singh claims that Boney went to Delhi with him and then, to Dubai. He is also claiming that he was the first person that Boney called when he discovered Sridevi’s body. He can’t say that he was misquoted because all these he said in video interviews.
It’s funny how he never mentioned that Boney was with him in Lucknow because he was saying that he is sorry he had to leave the wedding early for Lucknow. Then after a couple of hours to another website, he is claiming that Boney and him went to Lucknow together from Dubai. What is he trying to do here? Did he tell Boney that he will cover up for him? Why the need for cover up? And if Boney did call him first, why? Amar is not a doctor to know what to do in these situations, was it something else? Too many questions and Amar Singh has made it worst with his interviews. The Bachchans are looking at all of this and pretty much agreeing that they did a good thing by dumping him!
He just lets out all the personal details of the family without any thought or respect about their situation. What was the point of mentioning about their loans? He’s making things even more fishy now. Why doesn’t someone ask him to keep quiet? If he was this powerful, he should have gone to Dubai and help speed things up. He’s just sitting in Mumbai and waiting!
It is not easy to forget what and how a family breaks up because of another women for anyone. Arjun was 25 or 26 and Anshula was just 22 when their mother died but no oone was there for them , at least janhvi and khushi have their dad with them. They did not even had him. I dont want to talk ill about Sridevi bec she is no more may she get her peace, but did we see Sridevi come to Mona ‘s funeral or be therefor this kids who had lost their mother. So instead of judging Arjun, appreciate his efforts and don’t crib about his intentions, because what he did is tough.
Sri could have never come to Mona’s funeral. She knew that wasn’t possible. Even Boney attended the funeral with a look of embarrassment on his face. Don’t know if would have attended Sri’s funeral if his mother was still alive.
With the way Arjun and Anushula behaved it’s clear what kind of a woman Mona is. I’m sure she might not attend if she was alive, but she’ll never stop her kids if they want to. Arjun has asserted always she gave them that space with their father.
Whatever the equation, if Sridevi was not there for Mona funeral as a silent support to the kids even, then no one has the right to judge Arjun now.
As the other woman then, Sri would have gotten verbally thrashed at the funeral of Mona if she went. Since she is a big star also, people might say that she went to take the attention away from Mona, which could have happened. It’s good that she didn’t go. Even Boney looked hell of a guilty man at the funeral..
But there’s a thing called humanity na. But yeah maybe you’re right. Seeing her that day might have hurt the kids and relatives. Did jhanvi kushi at least attend?! Then it’s fine.
I hate to say this, but seems like Arjun kapoor is really milking this oppty. I have read 3 articles stating how hes being the pillar of strength for jhanvi and khushi. he may be well brought, but just this time i doubt his intentions, seems like just a way to hog the limelight. Had Sri not been a superstar, he wouldnt been seen around

At least Arjun is family…what about Rani who is saying Sri was her model now and how sri wanted to see hitchi or whatever that movie name she coming out in. Everything for her is about promotion, it was so sickening and yes I know I will get slack by her fans by i really dont give a hoot. Give jack his jacket, this woman is sickening with her promotions.
i guess you may be right. but Rani may have had some equation with Sri. Whereas Arjun had none. and now suddenly he is being mister goody two shoes. its hard to digest.
Yes I understand and I have a feeling that it is his PR who is making him out this way but I really want to believe that Arjun is genuinely stepping up because after all this is his father who is grieving. The majority of people would not want to be around their step mom, esp if she became a step mom while your own mom is living and this woman in his eyes came and wrecked their family. But she is dead now and maybe with her out of the way he could show his feelings. He seems to love his dad no matter what and I think deep down he knew his dad love sridevi, so it is really him helping his dad in his time of grieve, which just shows he is grown up. I also think that he loves his step sisters too and is grieving with them. I dont think that what he thought shridevi did to his family that her daughters will have to pay as well. I think whatever that family have been going through since Sridevi came into their lives is now over with her death. A sad thought, but that is life. Please give him his due even though he is a lousy actor.
I don’t know about articles. But on Twitter all I see is people genuinely praising him or calling him names.
I personally feel it’s great how he’s holding fort for his father if not Sreedevi. Just imagine what he must be feeling before passing assumptions. He probably will be seeing his father in a state he must have wished to see when his mother passed away. Trust me it’s not easy for anyone involved.
And not all pr articles will be with a heads up from client. They can promote stories which they feel is good for their client. Unless too sensitive!
You are forgetting that Amar Singh was close to Mulayam Yadav, SP boss. SP was key ally of Congress govt around 2009-12 period. Amar Singh thus had great access to power and actually saved Cong govt from falling (fixing votes of course!)
So, no wonder many celebs were around him that time and him being starstruck was always hobnobbing with them. Once he got thrown out of SP, these celebs also vanished.
Just an FYI….Sridevi’s sister Srilatha is married to a politician too ( Sivakasi) and her Dad was once given a ticket to contest as a Congress candidate (MP) from Sivakasi. She’s had political connections that go back a long way.

Can I just say that at this moment, I am deeply saddened by what happened with her in the last moments. No one deserves to die alone on a foreign land, and no near and dear ones around them. Especially after reading rgv’s open letter, I am even more saddened, coz Sri was a brilliant actor. She entertained like few and always looked stunning. Whatever it took her, whatever she knew would help her have a perfect outward persona, she did it. That was her conviction and belief in the celluloid. And I was always bowled over at how she always turned out impeccably styled. There is no1 working here. It was she!. Even with plastic surgeries and what not.. they worked on her. With all the new information coming out about her tough personal life since childhood, I’m just amazed at how she managed to carry herself in front of the camera. I was not a fan, but now I am.
It is true. She didn’t deserve to die this way. Cannot imagine how her kids are feeling. Such a way to die could have been avoided. But yes, she is an amazing actress if not the best. We are not just saying it because she passed, we have always maintained that.
This is my version of what might have happened
1. Sridevi might have stayed back in dubai for a cosmetic procedure whereas Boney and Khushi left since boney had to attend manmohan shetty’s function and Khushi to attend school
2. Sridevi might have not left the hotel room because of the bandages
3. On 24th,Sridevi and Boney might have fought over the phone over something. Following which boney immediately took a plane to visit Sridevi and calm her down with a dinner
4. Between Boney’s call and his visit,Sridevi might have gulped alcohol out of anger/stress..Later she might have headed for a bath.
5. She might have lost consciousness while in bathtub and died due to drowning..
6. When Boney reached the room,she was already dead past 1/2 hrs.. He called friends and police to inform her death
7. The police called in doctors and her body was then taken to hospital and she was declared dead.
The fact that boney informed police first and later the doctors were called was due to the fact that,Sridevi was already dead by that time… Police took their time to check if there was any foul play since no one was with Sri at that time….
The thing is, she has never stayed anywhere overseas alone without a companion. It’s why they supposedly said she stayed for her sister or to shop for Janhvi or to visit a painting auction. She’s never alone.
I don’t get the reason why she stayed back. That’s the biggest mystery… Somebody from kapoor family must clarify this.. But if the reasons are too personal to be disclosed then, we may never get the answers…
Every news site has published at least 10 articles on sridevi after her reported death… They should stop speculation and start focusing on other news… All the time reading about death can be depressing…
If she really did have a heart attack or cardiac arrest, the media wouldn’t have speculated this much. But with all these different updates coming out, it has left the media hungry for more. They are getting out of hand in their quest to supposedly find out the truth even though the case is closed.
Why some of Sridevi’s fans claim that she was superstar in 5 film industries…I am from karnataka and have been avid sandalwood fans since many years… Sridevi has done very very few movies and that too in blink and miss roles in kannada films … She was not known in kannada film industry…. Her fame was majorly in telugu, hindi and tamil films… My mallu friends claim that she did some movies over there but not like she was a superstar or something…Sometimes fans tend to exaggerate at times…
In Malayalam, she did almost 25 movies…from a child actor to a heroine… for ‘Poompatta’ she recd the state award for best child actor.. am I right???
Ok, let’s get one thing clear here: people’s preference or choice of favourites cannot be argued because it goes from people to people. Like those who grew up with Sridevi will look up to her as a superstar without checking facts or claims. Same with those who like Shah Rukh over Salman or Aamir over these two. We grew up with her and to this day, we don’t know what the big deal is with Meryl Streep. Maybe because we were already exposed to Sridevi. Now someone else can argue and say that Meryl is better than Sri but that’s our choice and no one can change our mind.
@admin,None of the malayalam movies were solely marketed on sridevi.. The word ‘ Superstar’ is most overused/abused word in film world. A superstar usually carries an entire film on his/her shoulder and fans flock to see him/her in first day first show irrespective of critical reviews. Sridevi did 25 films in Malayalam but many of the roles were tiny ones .. What I meant to say is she wasnt a superstar in Malayalam film industry,the way mammootty or mohanlal are .. But,I feel now is not the right time to discuss this since Sridevi’s fans are emotionally charged right now and may not see my argument in right spirit… I am arguing this not on emotions or personal preferences.. I am talking about facts… To acertain her stardom in Malayalam films,you can ask people from kerala … I can asure that she wasn’t a star in Kannada film industry,because she did no more than 5 films and many of her roles didn’t even have a character name… I just want to give credit where it deserves and not give it where it doesnt…
She was a well known face in malayalam. As far as I know, in the time she did films here she was loved as this child actor who grew up to be an actress. And when she made a came back years later in a malayalam film, as far as my parents are concerned they went for that film bz she was in it. She had made it big in Hindi and all were proud of her achievements.
As far as I know she was even bigger star in Tamil, telugu. Don’t know about kannada. It can’t be refuted she is perhaps the only actress with a pan India appeal.
Bhanupriya, Madhavi, Revathi, Asin etc are some heroines who made into Hindi as well. But I don’t think any of them achieved the stature of Sridevi in Hindi.
I found little fishy about her sister, earlier i read she stayed back with her sister but she wasn’t seen any where…also i suspect she must have drowned herself due to some pressure n all, coz as other bollywood families not sure even this family going thru something which they dont want to show it in public. During her peak time also, all her film choices and what she had to do was decided by Boney. all this speculation not sure about it, only sad part is we lost our favorite actress ;-(
I think he is just trying to state that Sridevi was a happy contented woman who just wanted to see her daughters make it big in bollywood so she could not have committed suicide. But he is botching it up really bad. I also think that these celebrities use him and he gives them his all and when they mess up with him it hurts it really bad to think that he does put them over his own family. I also think that he says certain personal things about them to let the world knows that yes he have a very deep equation with them, that he is not just a lap dog. There are people like that in this world. Sadly they are always in a sorry state.

I dont think she knows for sure. I think she is just speculating as a lot of others are doing. I am kind of swaying to the idea that she just had too much to drink and if she is taking any weight loss pills, the alco and pills knocked her out while she was in the bathtub and then it was after the wedding where Boney’s family were there and even after all these years a bunch of them are still bitter over her taking boney away from mona and she must be was kind of hurt and all that just is too much for a woman can handle. She knocked out and drowned in the bathtub.

It actually makes sense, we are also thinking the same thing. The fact that this happened after the wedding and that too, after people there made fun of her lip job and leaked this to the media, she must have been depressed and took things to make herself feel better. The last time she was reported to be drunk was at her FIL’s funeral, where she mixed alcohol with pills. These people seemed to stress her out and it’s not a surprise that she took some stuffs to make herself feel better. We also think that it could be she had an argument with Boney and he left, then he came back to make up with her and this dreadful incident happened.
No one had to leak her lip job to the media… Her lip job was so easily recognizable that even anyone could tell, Especially during Anurag Basu’s saraswati pooja,her lips were looking so odd…Everybody noticed it..
But her lip job may have been the brunt of a lot of jeers and snide remarks by members of Boney’s family who havent accepted as yet that she took him away from Mona. Only a woman can understand the humiliation especially if it has been so many years and they havent accepted you as yet and then this botched lip job. She must have been very depressed and may have stayed back to fix it that is why she was locked up in her room. I never had any work done but what if medication was given to her or injections if she did have some minor repair job done and then with her depression she had a lil something to drink which didnot work in her favour…

I agree. This seems to be the general flow of what happened. This is just a case of Chinese Whispers while the details travel from Dubai to Mumbai.
I think he flew back to Dubai when she stopped communicating with him. When he got to the hotel room, he found her in the tub. I read somewhere that her body was bloated and he needed help to remove her from the tub.
I am shocked at the ‘making of a mountain out of mole hill’ drama. I have been reading news and media is jumping at the conclusions sitting in Delhi or Bombay. They were just speculating. 100s of reports by 100 different reporters. Such irresponsible way of journalism.
She was a fine actress, celebrity and entertainer.
We should not make anything more out of it. She was definetly not a role model to any young girls.

The only inside info that we got is that the Dubai Police haven’t yet ruled out foul play.
