If you have read the Katrina Kaif interviews post her breakup with Ranbir Kapoor, you must have noticed how she keeps pointing out that she let her career suffer because she focused way too much into the relationship. As in, she wanted the relationship to work hence she gave up a lot, including working on good films. It’s funny how she made no such comments when she broke it off with Salman Khan. Wait! That was because she profited a lot from that relationship professionally-speaking.
Here’s the deal. When you make a decision to do something, don’t whine about it later on because it takes away the purpose you had while making that decision. It’s like you do a good deed for someone and when that someone doesn’t reciprocate, you whine and cry about how much you have done for this person and they don’t even lift a hand to help you. That’s how life should be, which is why you should think thoroughly before making any decision; analyse the pros and cons first before diving in.
As for Katrina, we don’t know what really did she give up but even a blind person was able to know that Ranbir Kapoor would never commit to her. We are guessing she did help him get out of the family house and then, he went and got his own place to live in, leaving her behind in their supposed love-nest. We remember how for months in the media, news about their love nests came out, like if it was some big deal! Man, how she was left red-faced after he ran away from her! We don’t know which one is worst? Ranbir quietly leaving while she was not at home or Katrina having to pull back her tail and run to Salman the minute Ranbir was out. The things you have to do to survive!

YES! I know bollybuffer and he’s usually on point with RK. Now RK is the biggest douche bag I have ever known about. He uses women to gain him traction in his career, makes grand gestures like gifting that piano to DP, he apparently gifted Katrina a Van Cleef and Arpels jewellery set, that she liked in Prague years ago. He gets them to trust him, gets his PR to release bull shit and turns women’s life into misery while they are dating and them throws them out once their time is up. DP spiralled into depression and became a laughing stock for trusting RK, same goes for Katrina. The irony of good old life is that both DP and Kat bounced back by delivering 100+crore films and Rabbit is still a flopstar.

Everyone knows about Rk and his lack of commitment ways…add Kapoor family way of thinking.How was she sure she would wed him? Did He promise her marriage on his own ? Did she pressure him to commit in any way…like on sly ?
With Rk and his family reputation any sane person (If anything i felt Katrina was Not worldly innocent or ignorant) would be doubly wary. Kapoor family was publicly dismissing her. Rishi kapoor said ” she dare not taker liberty of calling him PAPA” , “he openly said ABCD thing where one girl doesnt know that there are others meeting RK ” . Easy. I think its the classic mistake some women make when they think they are in love. The “i’m not like the others to him, he said he truly loves me and swore. I believe it.”,” No one understands our love” thing. She knew but….Its not wanting to let a good thing go. Self-preservation, in a way. Sometimes its easier on the heart to tell yourself lies, especially when everyone (public and DP/ RK/ SK fans) is so against you. I did feel sorry for her in this regard.
I sometimes feel like Rishi Kapoor is only going to be happy with a bahu who takes a back seat to Ranbir and doesn’t compete with him professionally. A gharwali. Nothing wrong with it. Like, he thinks that’s what Ranbir needs and having a wife for him to go back home to will make him a good man.

i partly blame kareena -saif who were making statements of girfriend and in future even more, dancing at their wedding comments. Making Kat believe she may have a chance… truth is kareena family were never really close to neetu family. Riddhima-Karisma rivalry and Neetu-Babita not being on talking terms is very well known.
Kareena now seems to have good relations with just Ranbir (from her wedding). Neetu and co were not even invited to karishma’s wedding.
What I can think now about this is that, the moment Ranbir started taking interest in her, katrina tried to be pally with neetu and Co.. Neetu even met Katrina’s mom and siblings in London… There were reports of neetu buying items for Ranbir – katrina pad.. Katrina was able to pull Ranbir out of family home,… They also made trips to New York together and in media there was news of them searching a property there… And then came the ibiza pics.. Ranbir even defended those pics..
I am sure katrina knew of Ranbir’s philandering ways but hoped something would happen in her favor.. This is just my guessing.. Only katrina can tell why got involved with Ranbir, though Salman had already warned her regarding this…

Ok so my two cents for RS-DP relationship. They both are extremely warm and media savvy in their life. But their relationship is a PR relationship that could culminate in marriage; like Michael Fassbender who’s bi and Alicia Vikander. Michael and Alicia were rumored to have seperated only for them to get married in Oct 2017, a month later. What I mean to say is that these celebs know that true fidelity marriage in HW and BW is impossible so they stick to familiar grounds where they have some form of affection for each other but also gain limelight and brownie points from media and fans for their relationship. We all have heard numerous blinds on RS and DP and for a matter of fact numerous blinds on other so called loved up couples too (*cough cough Akshay and Twinkle*). In this case DP is a power woman just like RS and them being together for 5 years now not onlygives them mutual understanding but also tremendous fan base that gets multiplied.
Also don’t forget most celebs have pre nup in place as tight as they can. So if they split a decade down the lane, there’s no hard feelings in terms of finance.

Ameesha Patel has been living life the Mallika Sherawat way. Sad how this entertainment industry messed with a girl who has a degree and could have had her chances of living a normal and better life if not for Rakesh Roshan who discovered her. Still, if nothing worked for her, she could have left but she prefers this lifestyle and is addicted to the limelight. She has people sponsoring her lifestyle including so-called partner with whom she lives and rumour has it, his wife too lives with them. Modern-family lifestyle, they are all living. She crashes party to show that she was invited and she’s the only actress who actually posts pictures with random people (as in fans who take selfies with her). RK just hooked up with her and that was it.
I don’t know what went wrong with her career.. I disagree with the common narrative that Katrina is talentless. She’s a great dancer and can be really good in comedy. She wouldn’t be where she is now if she was totally untalented. I admired her drive and perseverance and wish her continued success and happiness.
No doubt she’s a good dancer but let’s be honest here. Bollywood only, and i mean, only cares about looks, the perfect ‘figure’ and of course, a godfather. Talent is just a bonus. If talent was ever considered then actors like Radhika Apte, Rajkummaar Rao, Kalki Koechlin, Irrfan Khan, Richa Chaddha would have got their due recognition much earlier in their careers, rather than slogging their asses film after film to get recognised.

Katrina reminds me of Aishwarya Rai just with a much better figure. A terrible actress who has zero idea how bad she really is and an active PR that promotes her mostly minor achievements. Like Aishwarya she believes her own Hype and PR. Katrina has around for ages and has not one acting performance that she can be proud of. Just a legacy of item songs and flower pot roles with the Khans. Even Bipasha Basu ( her contemporary) has the movie Corporate that she can be proud of. In 10-20 years she will be completely forgotten.
I disagree with you. Aishwarya is no great actress and has done some cringeworthy acting but she does have some good performances to her credit as well. Kandukondein kandukondein, guru, raincoat, provoked were good . Nothing groundbreaking but she is not know for item songs and flowerpot roles like Katrina.
She was good in Josh and Hum Dil De… too. Its not that she can’t act but her voice is very nasal mostly because she is a Kannad trying to speak Hindi. On the other hand Deepika grasped it very wel.

Though Ash was born in karnataka, she was brought up in Mumbai.. All her education happened in Mumbai… I just believe Ash has a weak voice and hence struggles with dialogue delivery(hence the hamming). Whereas Deepika was brought up in bangalore and finished her schooling there… The dialogue delivery of an actor has nothing to do with the origins..

Hindi is taught in karnataka, kerala and Andhra pradesh and telagana exception being tamil Nadu… A lot of people from these South states can speak pretty decent hindi… I found your comment about Ash being a kannad and not able to speak hindi properly pretty racist…

She has practically no career now, and she’s trying get more attention by sticking up to Alia and the newbies! Unfortunately because of how sexist and patriarchal the industry is, the only was she can survive is by marrying Salman (which i don’t see happening)
